Understanding the Son of God
A biblical definition of sonship that protects both the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ.
The Son was born
Isaiah says the child would be born and the Son given. Luke connects the title to the miraculous conception.
The one born is more than a man
The child is called Mighty God and Everlasting Father.
Sonship is redemptive
Through the Son, God enters our condition, obeys, dies, rises, mediates, and brings the kingdom to its goal.
