Answer · The Son of God

Who was Jesus praying to?

The incarnate Son lived a real human relationship to God.

Direct answer

The man Christ Jesus prayed to the eternal God who was his Father and who also dwelt in him.

A real human relationship

As man, Jesus possessed a human will, human consciousness, and genuine dependence. His prayers were not staged conversations.

One God remained indivisible

The Father was not absent from Christ while receiving Christ's prayers. Jesus said the Father was in him doing the works.
